ABOUT SIDERÆ JEWELS
Thank you for visiting us. Our jewelry is entirely handcrafted in Italy, in an intimate studio located near Milan, surrounded by nature. We are a team of two, Adele Piatti and Roberto Ortenzi, and we design and make all Sideræ jewelry pieces, start-to-finish. Visit our Crafting Approach page to find out more.
Liquid Setting is our signature technique, where gemstones are set directly into molten gold. This method allows gold and stones to interact freely, finding their own harmony. Each Sideræ creation emerges from that unrepeatable moment where fire, instinct and expertise meet. The result? Truly one-of-a-kind pieces, defined by unique variations, organic textures and fluid shapes that bear the subtle, singular marks of their creation.

At Sideræ, we work exclusively with 18K gold. This alloy, rich with 75% pure gold, strikes the perfect balance: noble and luminous, yet strong enough to withstand the intensity of our process. This gold content also makes the alloy very low tarnish. We don’t use white gold or platinum; only 18K gold truly flows and responds to the dance of fire that defines our craft. We can also work in Fairmined Gold on request, please contact us for a quote.
These three gemstones—sapphires, rubies and diamonds—are our "brave companions," the only stones tough enough (8-10 on the Mohs scale) to withstand our molten gold process. While emeralds and any other soft semi-precious stones are stunning, they simply can't handle the intense heat of our Liquid Setting technique. Sapphires and rubies bring vibrant color, while diamonds add eternal sparkle. We lovingly call them our "heat warriors" because they dance with fire, remaining strong through every stage of our process while preserving their natural beauty.
We offer a curated selection of Ready to ship pieces online, but the majority of our rings are made to order in 8-10 weeks. We recommend checking availability before placing your order, especially if you have a special occasion or deadline in mind.
Sideræ jewels are crafted for everyday life, but we recommend removing them during physical activities—such as exercising or manual work, gardening, arts and crafts—to protect the stones and settings. This helps prevent accidental knocks and shields your jewelry from chemicals and chlorine, which can damage both gold and gemstones.
Our collection includes delicate, lightweight pieces as well as bolder, more sculptural designs. Some styles naturally require more care than others. If you're unsure which piece suits your daily rhythm, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to offer thoughtful, honest guidance.
Treat your Sideræ jewels with care, and they’ll stay beautiful for years to come. Store each piece separately in the soft pouch or box provided, separating each item to protect them from scratches. To clean, a soft lint-free cloth is often all you need—but for a deeper cleanse, warm soapy water and a soft brush will gently lift any hidden dust or dirt.
