Ring Sizing Guide

Choosing the right size is the first step in making sure your ring feels truly yours.
Because each piece is crafted with intricate details and stone settings, resizing is not possible and would require creating a new jewel from scratch. For this reason, we kindly ask that you provide us with the correct ring size when placing your order.

Our rings follow the US sizing system, available in both full and half sizes. On every product page, you’ll also find a Sizing Guide tab with a quick conversion chart, an easy reference to  compare international sizes and find the closest US size for your order.

If you’re unsure about your size, we’re here to help you—please write to us at clientcare@siderae.com before placing your order.

HOW TO FIND your ring size

Visit a professional jeweler
The most reliable method is to have your finger measured by a local jeweler.

  • Remember: finger size can vary between your left and right hand.
  • Decide in advance which hand and finger you want the ring for.

Keep in mind that a one-time measurement, even made by a professional, may not always reflect your true size. Our bodies change throughout the day and finger size can shift with temperature, lifestyle and other factors.

Measure a ring you already own
If you already have a ring that fits the finger you have in mind, you can use it as a reference.

  1. Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the finger on which you are planning to wear the new ring.
  2. Place a ruler over the ring and measure the widest inner diameter.
  3. Take a photo of the measurement direct from the top.
  4. Send the photo to clientcare@siderae.com. We’ll confirm your size and provide a ship date.

SIZE & fit

We know it’s not always easy to figure out your perfect ring fit. There’s no universal rule
when it comes to ring sizing. Some prefer a looser fit, while others like their rings to hug the finger like a second skin. What matters most is how it feels on your hand.

TIPS for measuring ring size

Every hand is different and that’s what makes fit so personal.

Comfort first
Your ring should feel comfortable: snug enough not to slip off, but easy to slid over your knuckle with gentle resistance.

Knuckle fit
If your knuckle is the widest point, look for moderate resistance when putting the ring on and a gentle twist when taking it off.

Tapered fingers
If your finger tapers toward the base, a closer fit will help keep the ring in place throughout the day.

Natural swelling
Allow for a bit of natural swelling when your hands are warmer.

Finger size is naturally influenced by daily life and environmental changes.

Cold vs. warm
In colder weather, fingers tend to shrink. In warmer conditions, they naturally swell. That’s why we recommend measuring after spending some time in a room temperature environment.

Lifestyle factors
Salt intake, alcohol consumption, hormonal changes, flying in a plane or lack of sleep  can all cause temporary fluctuations in size.

Life changes
Significant changes, like pregnancy, may permanently alter finger size. If you were  sized several years ago and have since had a child, we recommend getting resized.

Daily variations
While most daily variations are minor and don’t typically require a different ring size, you  may notice your ring feels slightly tighter or looser depending on the day. Taking these natural shifts into consideration will help ensure a fit that remains comfortable over time.

To get a more accurate result, we recommend taking your measurements a few different times. This will help you find the size that feels right for you.

The width of a band affects how it feels on your finger.

Wider bands
They tend to fit more snugly than thinner ones, even at the same size.

Sizing tip
If you’re choosing a wider band, we usually recommend going up half a size from your measurement. Example: A size 8 ring that’s 5 mm wide will feel tighter than a size 8 ring that’s 2 mm wide.
